Start the M/C and check if the CPU Fan is rotating. (PL 35.2)
Is the CPU Fan rotating?
Y N
Check the connection between the CPU Fan and Controller PWB J311 for open circuit, short circuit, and poor contact.
Is there any open circuit, short circuit, or poor contact?
Y N
Replace the Controller PWB. (PL 35.2)
[When there is open circuit or short circuit]
Replace the Controller PWB. (PL 35.2)
[When there is poor contact]
Reconnect the connectors.
Check if the ESS Fan is rotating. (PL 18.8, PL 18.10)
Is the ESS Fan rotating?
Y N
Check the following:
Does Controller PWB P300-6pin output 24V?
Does BP PWB P313-1pin output 24V?
Is there a problem with the connection of the Fan harness and the relay harness?
NOTE
If 24V has reached Controller PWB P300-6pin and has not reached BP PWB P313-1pin, there is a possibility that the Fuse of Controller PWB has blown. In this case, check if there is a short circuit between 24V and GND at the external connection destination of the Controller PWB such as DADF or EP Accessory.
Is 24V supplied to the Fan?

Replace the following parts in sequence. However, each time a part is replaced, check whether the Fail is still occurring.
Controller PWB (PL 35.2)
BP PWB (PL 18.8, PL 18.10)
Replace the ESS Fan. (PL 18.8, PL 18.10)
Replace the following parts in sequence. However, each time a part is replaced, check whether the Fail is still occurring.
ESS Fan (PL 18.8, PL 18.10) [ESS Fan Fail output fault]
Controller PWB (PL 35.2) [Fail detection circuit fault, CPU Fan Fail output fault] |
